Cairo Monorail

The Cairo Monorail project is a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving public transportation within Cairo and its surrounding areas. It is part of Egypt’s broader efforts to modernize its transportation network and alleviate traffic congestion in the capital city.

Routes:

The monorail project initially proposed two main lines

Line 1 (Phase 1):

Connecting East Cairo (from Nasr City) to the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

Line 2 (Phase 2):

Connecting West Cairo (from 6th of October City) to the NAC.

Purpose:

The Cairo Monorail aims to provide a fast, efficient, and environmentally friendly mode of transport. It is expected to significantly reduce travel times between Cairo and the New Administrative Capital, as well as within Cairo itself.

Investment:

The project represents a substantial investment in Egypt’s infrastructure, with funding likely coming from a combination of government sources, international loans, and private investments.

Supply, fabrication and DDP site of steel structure supporting beams and rail beams.
